python-pyxmpp-doc software package provides XMPP and Jabber implementation for Python (documentation), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-pyxmpp-doc
python-pyxmpp-doc is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-pyxmpp-doc package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-pyxmpp-doc *
You will get with python-pyxmpp-doc package name, version, architecture and description in a table
